Picked up this ‘15S for $20. I’ll call it VF 30, but I find these somewhat difficult to grade. I only have several more to acquire and I’ll have to get lucky or open the wallet a little (or a lot) for some of them. Here’s the ones still needed: ‘22 No D D: 14, 24, 33 S: 09, 09 VDB, 11, 12, 13, 14, 31
Working on this too and only missing 3, but it's the 3 "big ones": 1909-S VDB, 1914-D, and 1922 plain. It's debatable whether 1922 plain should count, but Dansco says it does.
It does not. Which is kind of strange why 1922 plain "counts" when most people would consider it an error rather than a variety. I mean, the D mint mark was meant to be there, and it wasn't. But arguably since they didn't care to call them rejects, it makes it a variety. Not sure where you draw the line, but well, the people that made the album considered it to count. It's only labeled up to 2009 and I treated the 2019-W business strike as one that counts, by my criteria.
You’re almost down to the expensive ones. Best wishes for you to complete your tasks. If you start a new collection with the intention of filling an album or folder you might want to buy the expensive ones first.
Almost, and thank you. Of course all can be purchased this afternoon, but what fun is that! Better to find good deals as they happen and if the set goes unfinished, so be it.
