Why though? Nothing has bigger price swings than a true auction which is entirely dependent on more than one person looking at the same time.
What could possibly give you a better indication of what something is worth than several items that have sold and have gone for about the same price?
True, but why would those prices be exclusive to auctions? If something consistently sells for say 145-165 with BIN listings I would consider that to be just as good of a representation of value as auction prices would be
Something interesting happened... Got an eBay message about my reeded edge 50 mintage Hard Times Token. It's listed for $195 bin. He offered $150 and tried to get me to do the deal off eBay. He even wrote, "no fees that way" in the message! Before I responded, I looked at the no reserve one at auction and noticed it was at $130+. Then looked at who the high bidder was. It was THE SAME GUY! Guess he doesn't like it inching closer and closer to his limit. Sketchy. I just responded to his message that I would not lower the price at this time.
Funny, but please don't unless you really want it. I get the feeling this guy is low on funds and may not pay.
Cool. It's been interesting to watch it. I wondered if most bidders would stop at the issue price, but a few folks have kept going on it.
I think you may be the only seller of these currently on eBay. If you remove the BINs, you might increase the chances of a bidding war for the auction item. Other then taking these items off the shelf, are there any downsides to ending the BINs? Fees for ending an item early? Fees to relist in 3 days?
If you really think that could be an issue you could just up it and add a best offer, or up it until the auction is over and adjust it again based off that
To bad the mint did not issue the 2016 commemorative half dollar, quarter, and dime in silver as well as gold. Would have been a great hit with the average collector.
Your token seems to be holding at $138, wondering how many are planning to snipe it in the last 10 seconds. Maybe me ???
Dunno! Maybe nobody. But I noticed that there are still no other ones listed except for my 3... (1 auction, 2 bin). We shall see.
