    Here's a tale of 2 Spinthers for the thread. The top one is consigned to Gemini in April (on SixBid for your bidding pleasure, bid early, bid often!) and the one I replaced it with is below it. Someone asked in another post how I could replace such a coin and I must say I didn't expect to until I found the new one.

    Spinther Jr. sure produced some pretty coins. A chip off the old marble block, I'd say. Those are both exceptional examples with beautiful looking metal, sufaces and tone.

    ...and then there were his other coins which are just a bit less well done. This one is fourree to boot. This is not a mule but is available solid for descriminating collectors.
