The white stuff around the S in CENTS is on the slab.

This half dime was a less expensive coin bought as an afterthought with a more expensive coin to avoid sales tax. I'm glad to have it though. It's PCGS PR63. Might get a plus on regrade, but not worth the gamble. It's a great coin to show to non-collectors. Not only looks nice, but most folks have no idea such a denomination existed.

Actually the coin that I've been looking off and on to find is a Proof Cameo Mercury. 1938 would be preferred, but I'd be happy with any year as long as the Merc is a solid Cameo.

Here are a couple of ways to look at this proof...

Arrived today thanks to Mike at ToughCoins. He found this gem at the recent Baltimore show.

Thank you! The images are by Bob Campbell, and I think he did an excellent job.

I bought it (and have kept it) raw. Much as I'd like it to, I highly doubt the coin would grade 69DCAM, it's got too many hairlines in the fields. Still, it is a pretty coin and IMO certainly worth more than what I paid for it.

It's a fantastic coin either way!

I just picked up this 1955 Proof set from Justin for my wife birthday gift as she was born in 1955.
