A number of the members of CT do not watch videos. It’s best to post full sized photos of both sides. You’ll get a larger response with photos. FYI

I don't view many videos. Scanners work really well for paper.

I don't understand the monkey one, but I think the first and last ones have kind of cool looking serials. But I wouldn't expect any value beyond face. I might set those aside in a pile of cool notes to save that just cost face.

The birthday note depends on finding the right person, of course. In this case, we are dealing with a 2-year old, so we are counting on parents who are busy with their 2-year old to think about buying something like this :)

  10. It says "BOOBIE"... real mature, I know... I didn't make this world, I'm just living in it...

It is a bookend serial number.
A bookend serial number is a "fancy" currency or collectible number where the same digits appear at both the beginning and the end, such as 83...83 or 001...001. These are popular with collectors, especially when the middle digits are zeros, repeating, or lower in number.
Definition: The first two or three digits match the last two or three digits of the serial number (e.g., 36584365). Types: 2-Digit Bookends: 12...12 (e.g., 12999512). 3-Digit Bookends: 123...123 (e.g., 12345123). Value: Generally worth more than face value to collectors, with 3-digit and rarer combinations bringing higher premiums, though often just a few dollars over face value for common $1 bills. Examples: 83000083, 25000025, 90875490

The only Boopie I know is a design for antique glassware. It was designed in the 1940’s. It was popular but not expensive.

  14. Great info! Thanks for sharing this knowledge! Wasn't sure of the name.

Nice synopsis @Michael K, thanks for taking the time to post.

Question for you. I'm not a currency collector, but I've got a few intriguing notes collected in the wild. Your thoughts?

In your writeup you mention a bookend note as being either 2 or 3 digits repeated both beginning and end in the serial number. I've got a note that I think is a 1 digit bookend. And, the middle digits being the preferred zeros. Does this qualify as a bookend?

    Thanks...

I have been collecting for 5 decades & I have never heard the term "bookends" used the way @Michael K described it. A set of digits (no matter where they are placed) just won't matter much to most special # collectors I know. Everything must be in place for the serial to be special (otherwise it is just a MISS).

"Bookend serials" have always meant adjacent notes, such as these:
    0000999 (2 digit bookend)
0001000 *(2 digit radar or featured note)
    0001001 (2 digit bookend)
& of course a lot of collectors would like these bookend notes b/c they're kind of cool. They really are not that collectible on their own but require a feature note. Bookends are also appreciated if you have errors (often the bookends being less dramatic than the most dramatic featured error). They're especially on the radar for special # collectors who like consecutive serial # runs of 2 or 3 notes.

BTW: great 2 digit rotator note @masterswimmer! Really love the 8's & all those 000000! Wow! (In fact, "Serial #8" is my handle on other forums).

I used to hunt for special # (errors, signature change-overs, short prefixes, etc) years ago but found it just so much work for so little return.

On this C&C "Modern Radar Notes" thread, I posted 3 banknotes (under my other handle "Nota_Phil") that I either got in change or by recycling cash (changing about 80 notes at a time). Getting a special # in change was what made me drop the banknote strap hunting. Sometimes a great number just falls in one's lap (the odds are so terrible that you don't need to hustle your butt off to get a great #). I know its bizarre, in a way, but the odds of getting something amazing are still pretty slim even when you do all the right things!
