    No.

Nothing to do with the design--I don't have any desire to buy bullion coins at grossly inflated prices from the mint.

For that kind of money I could have a key date classic US coin. So no.

No thanks! I like the president, but not the coin.

I wouldn't mind getting one but the hype would have to significantly die down. It'll be high for a while after the Mint issues them.

It doesn't matter who the President is, a living President should not promote the idea of putting his image on a US coin. Hubris.
I am sure there are other bullion coins with less mark up.

To me, the eagle looks more like a wood carving than a majestic bird. And no I would not buy one.

My first reaction is Julius Caesar, second is Nero and third is that it is a piece of narcissistic crap.

Anything to feed the ego. I like him but sometimes I don't like him. That rendition of him looks like something out of The Apprentice. Given the current price of metals....hell no.

    Not a chance.

Friendly Moderator notice: Keep your responses (positive or negative) strictly coin-related, and leave your personal/political opinions of the subject out of it, or this thread will be shut down, and political posts could possibly result in infraction points for the guilty parties.

That's kind of inevitable when the illustration is a 2-D rendering and not an actual coin photo.

Well, we now have colorized super hero coins and now this. The Mint should be ashamed of itself. Nothing political, it's just a bad looking coin.

I actually kind of like the design. But if it's gold it will be too expensive, and even if I had that kind of money lying around, there's other things I'd rather spend it on. But I honestly wouldn't mind having one if money was no object.

As long as I'm expressing unpopular coin opinions let me also say I like the superhero coins. But I only bought the Superman one and that's the only one I intend on buying.
