    Here it is, a Nova Constellation Pattern Piece. It’s a Quint with the legend on the obverse. It’s also a counterfeit but all Nova Pattern pieces are unique so it’s the only way I could ever have one. :)

    Actually it's not a replica of one of the patterns, it's a replica of one of the regular issue pieces, specifically a 1785 3-B. I've been working on a set of the regular issue pieces by die variety. None are listed as very rare, but some are surprisingly tough to find.

    Here's mine. I have never gotten very deep into this series. It was one of those copper pieces that was issued during the age of the Articles of Confederation, between the end of the Revolutionary War and the adoption of the Constitution. I've owned this one for over 40 years.

    They were a financial, potential money making project of founding father, Gouverneur Morris
