    Hello everyone,
Yesterday I did another dirt fishing trip to Pelham Bay Park in NYC.
This time it was a solo trip since no one from our club or the other 3 guys I detected with last weekend could not come.

I once again had success in finding 5 Silver US Coins!
So now I have 10 US Silver Constitutional Silver Coins for 2026 :woot:

    3 Barber Dimes - 1910-D, 1913 & 1916

    35% Silver Wartime Nickels - 1945-P & 1945-S

    3 Indian Head Cents - 1890, 1891 & 1904
The area has some chemically treated dirt, so they come out looking pretty bad :yack:

Same for the 19 Wheat Cents

Congrats on all the silver you’ve found this year. This weeks silver looks to be in nice shape. Joey looks proud to be showing off the silver. :)

It astounds me that you can work public parks in New York that have likely been worked a dozen times before by other detectorists and still come out with hauls like this.

Do you know in what year Pelham Bay Park was established? Or was it just a grassy area that unofficially became a park due to use?

Disregard my earlier question. WOW this park has some history to it. I looked it up at this site Pelham Bay Park Highlights : NYC Parks. Did you ever dirt fish at the stone wall by the golf course?

That Ronson Lighter is an oldie. As usual, nice finds congrats!

WoW! Nice finds. I'm way behind you for sure. Still have a bunch of snow here. Don't worry about it. I'll find something nice also. Bet your bottom dollar. ;)
I have this key. Just have to find the box it goes too. :woot:

Wishful thinking. Probably goes to someone's door since the area is pre-1800's. The building behind where abouts I found it is from 1776! It was moved down the street from another location. I'm a local history buff as well. ;)
