Nope not corossion.. Deterioration I didn't know you could use a smiley face in our thread title...Thanks
Here's your first lesson, never shoot all of " LIBERTY " unless the error site does . Now look at this one . http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1982&die_id=1982p1do003&die_state=mds
Here's one that wexler has, that looks like a dead ringer OP . It's also known as DDO-003 . http://www.doubleddie.com/828781.html
Are you guys comparing the coin in #1 post? to the photo in #10? Look at the "Y"? The under "Y" in the OP is farther to the left and down , whereas the #10 it is closer to the over Y and up. No match at all. I think the OP cent is MDD. Jim
Hey Rick That picture really shows difference between machine and hub doubling. Explains a lot for me THANKS! Geod
Wow So much to learn . ThankU for being patience with me and being a rookie . Why should I only take photos the way error sites do? And always ThankU for your knowledge
I made a copy of this the last time for better targeting . I think I'll make a poster of it and place in on any table I'm searching on
Darn. I was going to change my screen name to Doubl Eddie. Someone beat me to it. But my name isn't Eddie. Then again, it isn't Mark, either.
My guess is he was kidding. It is nice when you can lay your pix over other error pix and compare them. Cropping and tilting is easy enough with a windows pc and even most androids. If a need to resize to specific pixel dimensions exists for a good fit, MS Paint will do that easy enough.
http://www.nerdparadise.com/mspaint/opacityoverlay Then you can apply this and do overlays for comparison purposes.
