Yes it's a 1982 small date. I don't like that green stuff on the reverse. Which is completely missing in the final photo, so IDK if it is there or not. A number of hits on the obverse as well. It's not difficult to find these in better shape just CRHing.
Well, they're not exactly common. Are there not 8 basic varieties of the 1982's with roughly 2 of 7 being copper? I'm thinking the 1982 denver small date copper is the rarest of the basic 8 with the philly next?
The 1982 Lincoln cent had the highest mintage of any coin at 10.7 billion. With the Denver 1982 minting another 6 billion. Some of the varieties may be trickier to find, the most valuable in MS 65 is the 82 small date zinc at 0.81 cents. Here are the other values I have for MS 65 grade. 1982 Copper Large .35 cents 1982 Copper Small .50 cents 1982-D Copper Large .30 cents 1982 Zinc Large .50 cents 1982 Zinc Small .81 cents 1982-D Zinc Large .40 cents 1982-D Zinc Small .30 cents Nothing there really screams rare to me. But whatever.
Do you have the mint numbers for the copper versions? Most were zinc. A small date Denver, not included on your list, has been slabbed and graded. I doubt $800 will buy it.
I thought I listed all 7 varieties. They didn't make any small date Denver coppers. Is that what this coin is? If it is a small date zinc Denver MS-69 or so, that price for this coin doesn't interest me.
Yours is a philly and the denver is reported to be a rare, recent and new discovery, which would make 8 varieties.
i need some help with7 mine as well if you know where i need to take my find th7at would be awesome and i believe yours at being a philly i think its $60 / $16O i could be wrong
