Does anyone know when they are coming out? Both the P&D "regular" mint sets and the proof "S" mint varieties? I would like to try to get them directly from the mint rather than paying huge markups once they're sold out. Thanks.
According to USMint.gov, silver proof sets will be released in April. Uncirculated sets and regular proof sets will be released in Summer (no specific date announced yet).
You don’t need the aftermarket to have high prices for these sets. Just buy them from the mint. The mints prices are so high they slid the middle man.
Neither have I. I did see individual coins on usa coin book https://www.usacoinbook.com/item/20...quincentennial-1776-2026-bu-or-better-978016/ https://www.usacoinbook.com/item/2026-p-d-washington-quarter-s-967939/
Interesting that they still aren't showing what the unc sets will look like; just says "image coming soon". Maybe still working on the packaging but you would think they would have that done way before now.
So we get the 250 Anniversary year set and the first year to not have a Lincoln cent. But those prices! I just don't know.

US Mint subscriptions are all sold out for all annual sets. There will not be a 2026 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set. Here are the proposed mint numbers: 2026 Proof Set 420,002 2026 Silver Proof Set 151,520 P & D Uncirculated Sets 190,000 Totals for the key coins: 1 Cent "S" Mint proof 671,522 1 Cent "D" Mint 190,000 1 Cent "P" Mint 190,000 10 Cent Silver proof's 151,520 Half Dollar Silver Proofs 151,520
U are right I tried to add 1 UNC P+ D set said will exceed the 190K allowed. So If some as I am putting together a 250th Semi Q set there will only be 190,000 (if you decide to bust out penny) Not I'll take any 1776-2026 P+D pennies for $50.00
I guess those massive price tags didn't keep everyone away. I suspect there's a lot of interest from the public at large, as opposed to us coin geeks, to get the last penny* and the other one-time designs. Of course, the mass majority of these will survive intact, meaning they'll never be scarce or especially valuable. I suppose it's good for the hobby in some ways, bad in others. Mostly bad for me, as I don't allot a huge amount of money to my collection. *We all know the Lincoln cent isn't going to disappear completely. Too much money to be made from one-off special releases.
To answer the OP's question. Silver proof sets release date is 4/14/26... Uncirculated set is 6/30/26... Proof set sometime this summer. I have subscriptions for 5 Silver sets & 5 Uncirculated sets. I figure if I sell 3 of each, I might get 2 of each for free +/-. The 151,520 Silver Proof Half's, Dimes, and Quarters will be the high demand coins. 671,000 is a high number of proof cents, but the 190,000 P & D Uncirculated cents should bring a decent price, especially in high grades... I've learned a lot from all y'all's wisdom over the years (mainly by just keeping my mouth shut and paying attention) One of these is if you want a coin that's new to the market, and in high demand, wait a few years... the price will be half what it was upon release. Case in point... 4 weeks ago a 2025 S Silver Proof set would cost you around $600+in auction, now they're $325 on a buy it now because no-one read the Mint's press release that there would be a 2026 Lincoln minted. I read an article not long ago about the price increase in our hobby. A big factor is a new generation of collectors getting their money out of Crypto and looking for a more tangible and solid investment.
