This is not the last issue, and he is charging $9.00 shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/1941-Mercury-U-...ryZ41092QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Are you saying that isn't an MS68 FBL coin which with a starting bid of only $10.00 would make the $9.00 shipping worth it? Prime directive here Captain Kirk. We can't mess with the internal workings of other worlds and although it says Brooklyn I'm inclined to believe that, logically, this being is not of this world. What a joke!
uh huh, what a crock I think half of these people are honestly listing these coins because they know nothing about them
wow, I gotta rush to bid on that deal. Especially since it is the last year! And it is an unc! Or not, in either case.
Nice! I know what happened. They had that 2x2 laying around empty and put that coin in it and added the date. He surely is not trying to misslead anybody into thinking the coin is unc or rare. And the last issue thing must be that he has documented proof that this coin was the last merc minted in 1941. For the bargain price of $19.00 w/shipping I don't understand why he had know bidds. Sorry I had a big dose of sarcasm pills this morning:eat:, or mabey it's just the heat.
I've got one of those if anyone is interested. I'll only charge $8 shipping. :smile And I thought it was only worth melt value.
Because Mercury dimes contain mercury, the shipping costs include special packaging for hazardous materials.
Glad I saw that. I used to have hundreds of Mercury Dimes with dates after 41 but when I saw that, I threw them out knowing they don't exist anyway.
