I found this on Ebay, 40 watchers in 24 hours, one of them being me. At $11, I was the first to pull the plug and buy it. It bids at $18 in AG.
That coin honestly does look cool, for some reason I love the look of most counterfeits. I feel like a lot of people overlook them because they're counterfeit, but also overlook that some counterfeits, like contemporaries or Henning nickels, can be worth big bucks.
The ones that are really cool are the counterfeits that are cheap and actually silver. Who is the joke on at that point?
I like getting ones that contain a minute, but actually measurable, amount of gold. I have a few of the gold Buffalo tribute proofs, which contain 14 milligrams of gold and melt for around $2.25 each, and I also have a 6-coin set from the National Collector's Mint that contains 90 milligrams, or about $14.50 in gold. I paid $10 for the 90 milligram set.
