This one I am kind of excited to post about and hope to hear feedback. It almost looks like when this was being made, it was pressed with something like a piece of clothing or even looks like a fingerprint. Feels and sounds like a penny, weighs about the same as any other penny, and sounds like one.

Wishful thinking. But that is not a struck through cloth. Looks like damage.

1983 Copper Plated Zinc Cents have many plating issues. Yours was most likely exposed to the elements.

I have seen a lot of coins that were struck through fabric, and this is definitely not one of them. I think it is PSD, too.

That was dropped in a strong acid. That's what they look like when you pull them out. Chemistry lab experiment.

I think I'd hermetically seal it in acrylic or some form of lamination just because why not? It won't last long otherwise evidenced by all seeing zinc coins rot before our eyes just like cool old magnesium hot rod wheels, except their deterioration is concealed. Some still look nice and shiny but are chalky white powder inside. Dangerous.

It would still be neat to see better pix of both sides. I can't tell much about from the pix you've produced. Surely you know somebody with an Iphone6 or better? Samsung from s4 and higher have superb cameras as well.

I will do my best tonight and post them directly to you. I might have to use my old droid razor lol. At least that camera had the macro settings

Sometimes it is amazing the quality you can get by snapping a pic thru a simple magnifying glass! Good luck and may as well post them here but, I welcome them coming directly to me.

83 or 63? Doesn't appear to be a zinker although it appears impossible for it not to be. Highly unlikely to be a copper 83. I'd peek very carefuly at the date and weigh it.

I'd certainly grade it as modern art. Looks crazy. Maybe they were right about an acid trip!

I am almost 100% sure it's a 1983. Yeah I figured it was art. I'll have to grab me a scale from the smoke shop tomorrow. I wanted one anyways to see if one of my nickels were a counterfeit henning nickel. Might as well kill two birds with one stone. Either way, art or not I should keep this because I never seen anything like it and probably won't. Thanks though. Once I get the weight of the penny I'll let ya know
