When someone mentions a "nine volume set" I can't help myself, I have to have it, so please don't post things like this.
It´s a series on large Roman bronze coins, in Italian and English, with blue bindings in faux leather. All Medallions and Sestertius types are discussed, illustrated, and the number of known examples for each type given (!!!) Sadly out of print and not in my local library...
Many years ago I had a set but as I never used it I sold it. They are now hard to find and expensive when you do.
In the past me either. But moving from a larger house to a small one, having kids, well, space became a premium. Books had to go. Its strange, they are expensive to buy, but when you sell they go for pennies. I am now of the frame of mind to not get rid of any of them and to buy more. After all, in a few years when the first kid goes to college I hope to appropriate that room for books!
If I remember correctly they cost about $50 per volume at the time, I sold them for about $10 each. Just the nature of things.....
Update: I managed to buy all nine volumes online today and can´t wait for the six Kilos of literature to get here
I would be interested in filling in some of the volumes I am missing. I have the following: II (1,2,3), III (2 ), IV (2) I need these 4 - III(1,3) and IV (1,3). Any help would be greatly appreciated
