It's the doubled die along with die deterioration.

3 harder ones to find but the others are just being difficult for the moment. Keep at it - you’ll get there!

Still a terrific find! Congrats to you!

A terrific specimen right there! A fun find for sure.

Got out when the streets were cleared of frozen stuff. Since my local bank branch now only gives out cent rolls to retailers, I asked for $10 in nickels and $10 dollars in dimes. Found two "keepers". One buffalo nickel and one pre '65 dime. Not too shabby for a short search. Might do an acetone soak before placing them in 2x2s. Corrosion on the nickel and haze on the dime.

Nice early Buff with a full date! Needs a little treatment for the greenish scuz, but that is a cool find. Acetone can't hurt, I suppose, but if that doesn't work, try some mineral oil or Vaseline, I reckon.

Got 5 boxes of dimes and nickels to search last week. Only two boxes of dimes had silver. One had three including a Roosevelt ender which I will save to open on a rainy day. Also got a 1963 saved for me by a teller and a 1967 half dollar from a different branch. The D silver nickel is from 1943 so not a bad score this week. IMG_6460.jpeg IMG_6458.jpeg IMG_6459.jpeg

Still getting Ikes from the bank? That’s fun.

I love to get them when I can. I got 11 from another bank that I still need to look at. For some reason they taped the coins together in groups of 5.

Guess they don’t have large dollar wrappers anymore. Not surprising, considering it’s been 48 years.

I'm remembering the bank in MD that told me they had some half dollars - they pulled out an envelope with the quantity written on it, opened it up, and they were Ikes. They charged me a dollar each for them, but I've always wondered if the depositor got only 50 cents apiece.

IMG_6480.jpeg IMG_6481.jpeg Other finds from January not previously posted. I’ll try and get to my December finds and get them posted this weekend along with my weekly rolls I’m going to search. The bottom buffalo nickel 2nd from the right is probably the best buffalo condition wise that I have ever found in a roll. There also is a 1939s pictured as well. I started off January rough for silver dimes in rolls and lucky with the nickels. It looks like rolls have reversed for February. Ha see what I did there.;)
