Hi, I have a coin I need help identifying. It’s silver, about 10–11 mm in diameter and under 0.5 g, with a crude strike. I believe it might be a fraction of a Byzantine papal siliqua, but I can’t find any similar examples, and it may be a barbaric imitation or even unique. Could anyone help me identify it? Thanks!
Way, way, out of my area of knowledge, but I will say that that cartoonish portrait is quite amusing. It has character. "Barbaric imitation" seems plausible to me, based on what I know, which is practically nothing.
