United States: 1886 silver proof Seated Liberty dime

    PCGS PR64 CAM. Cert. #42975096.

    Numista-317075, Krause-Mishler-A92.

    Mintage: 886.

Ex-David Lawrence Rare Coins, Inventory #2368490. Date of sale unrecorded (ca. 2022-2023).

This Seated Liberty dime is a really lovely Cameo proof example with flashy mirrors and frosty devices. I very much like to collect 19th century proof coins, when I can afford them, which isn't always.

I'm not into proofs, but that is a very nice coin to look at!

The top of head hair lines and the top of the liberty cap seem to be weak strikes. Is this typical of this proof?

Don’t know. Could it also be an issue of die state? Again, I don’t know.
