What appears to be a cud, both under high and low magnification, is the subject in question. The obverse cud is on top of the E in WE of IN GOD WE TRUST. Yes, this coin has damage that appears normal, besides the cud in question, but those look like regular PMD. What does everyone think? I would really value your inspection of the coin through the pictures provided and to read your opinions and facts on the subject. Thank you so much in advance for any and all input on the subject and specific coin in question!
I see nothing. If you are talking about the E.. that's not a CUD. It's a Die Chip. Two different things. A CUD involves the edge of the rim.
I just created this thread. Look at it so you can understand what a CUD is https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1c-1970-s-large-date-obverse-die-break-cud-ngc-07.292136/
Thank you for the correction of terminology Paddyman. That was a little embarrassing, once I read it because I do know the difference but I misspoke. I appreciate your correction of my post and all the additional time you spent posting a link to teach everyone who visits this post so we can learn further. I started cent searching about a year ago and this is the second time I have found a die chip, so I am excited and I know you know your stuff when it comes to this subject, so...Thank You!
