My wife and I are heading to a 1 week getaway to Puerto Rico tonight

I probably won't be posting much for the next 8 days since I will be away.
And no beach metal detecting this time around

Basking in the sun, enjoying family, great food, no detector, fall asleep. It's a great life, be safe have fun. We all can wait 8 measly days

 

I'm an avid fan of Lewis and Clark and the Corp of Discovery. I do have the commem's in my collection, purchased at the time of issue and when the mint was reasonable with their price assessment's, but I never obtained the coin and chronicle's set for this offering. I contemplated buying it but I tarried too long and the offering became unavailable. Se la Vie. For those who wish to learn more about the Lewis and Clark journeys I recommend two works of fiction which are most entertaining and (for the most part) historically correct. From Sea to Shinning Sea, By James Alexander Thom and The Captains Dog by Roland Smith. Both good reads, to be sure.
