Here's Daniel's version of a trade dollar. Interesting? I think so.

His fantasy date work does have a strong history of appreciating on the after market, some more than others but I can't think of any that are selling below issue price right now and certainly not consistently. Could the coin market collapse tomorrow yea it's possible so nothing is ever assured 100 percent in life, but at this point the fantasy overstrikes are an aftermarket winner until proven otherwise.

Until doomsday arrives, that will probably always happen. :)

And that's the point; nothing is 100%, especially in this hobby, so for this reason alone it is wrong for someone (not you) to incessantly "guarantee" this supposedly endless future potential.

The fact is most who come here talking of "investment" are the last ones who should be considering making any sort of hobby-related investment, be it actual coins or Carr copies. This has nothing to do with my dislike of Carr's copying, and only with the fact that a certain individual has taken it upon himself to potentially mislead every person who comes here regardless of if they're asking about or interested in Carr products or not. As a whole I've never seen this forum allow such claims to go uncountered, and this should be no different simply because it's a heated subject.

I've posted and I've seen others post that coin and currency collecting is a hobby. You collect what pleases you and not necessarily what will be worth more in the future. (although I'm passing my collection on to my grandson, it would be nice if it appreciates).

I happen to like Daniel's medals and if I see one that catches my eye, I'll buy it. I'm not buying it to make a future profit, I'm buying it because it pleases me.

In this case there is significant evidence to support it. I mentioned when I didn't agree. But as always provide facts if you want to disprove the one genre

Serious question. Why buy the 2017 Dollar coin?
