    I've always wondered if the US Gov't/Mint would realign the $ identification on the Silver and Gold (and Platinum, Palladium) coins to match the actual PM market value.

    Remember the old days when $1 coin was $1 dollar ?

    I'm having a hard time even starting to think of all the things that would go wrong if you could circulate bullion coins at a face value higher than their metal value.
