1978 lincoln cent with doubling strong doubling on the reverse which i assume is machine? but i think theres a little on the front in the word trust and maybe his nose that im not sure about
To me it looks like the doubling was due to a worn die. Not a true doubled die. It looks flat and shelf like. That’s machine doubling or MD. Very common.
This post is for anyone else in the future that is looking to understand what worthless doubling is When it's flat and Shelflike it's not a Doubled Die variety. It's either Die Deterioration doubling or Mechanical doubling.
