1944 P Lincoln Wheat Cent - Huge Die Crack

    Huge Die Crack on this Wheat cent.

    That is not a Die Crack. That is a Planchet Lamination.
    Huge difference.
    A Die Crack is on the Die Itself. When it strikes a blank coin the metal will flow into the crack appearing raised on the coin. What causes a Lamination is something like an improper mix of metal that will cause it to peel.
