I am scheduled to provide "An Overview of the U.S. $5 Gold Piece" at the upcoming FUN Convention. The time will be Thursday, January 8 at 12:45 PM. The room is yet to be announced.

I will cover the history of these coins from 1795 to 1929 in some depth with a quick look at the modern era. I have many Power Point slides, and I will welcome any questions you might have. I hope to see many of there.

Will you talk about their supply/demand and price situation TODAY, especially relative to the pricing for a similar 1/4 ounce AGE ? That might be relevant to the non-numismatic crowd given the vanishing premiums for such coins.

Yes, I will be covering that, but I can't tell where the gold market is going to go. When I paid $2,500 for a new one ounce American Gold Eagle because I wanted the coin for a type set, I never dreamed that would seem to be "cheap."

I'd love to hear your presentation but I'm not able to attend the show. Will your remarks appear later online or in a journal or other publication? Thanks.
