I like a coin with a good story and characters that I haven't run into before - this one is not about the Pittsburgh or Las Vegas Gladiators or Cleveland Gladiators and a foot ball interception - but rather about a coin issued by a Roman governor who was mopping up after Actium and his efforts to stop loyal supporters of Mark Antony and Cleopatra. https://www.sullacoins.com/post/intercepting-the-gladiators Post your coins of Augustus, Mark Antony, Cleopatra, Agrippa, coins issued in Roman Antioch, or anything else you find interesting or entertaining.
I thought I had a complete set, but I think I may still be missing one example: Legio IIX. I think I saw one presented here a few months ago.
Octavian turned out to be a very good emperor. I don't think Mark Anthony would have worked out that well. It's funny. No matter how old August Caeasar became, he never aged on his coins.

I thought I might have achieved this with the exception of one. @Bing was my inspiration to collect these. I missed out on a XVIIII a couple of years ago that went for a really low price, others have been outside of my purse. I am selling my Fleet Collection to buy something else that means a lot to me and many are at Heritage this week. Here is the link https://coins.ha.com/c/search/resul...signor_no=56&type=friend-consignorlive-notice I have an ambition to add to my Spanish Colonial Fleet coins with some gold and the sale of these will considerably help me. They were a lot of fun to collect over many years and I now have some regrets at the decision but better to have loved and lost than never have loved before and my new love is very demanding....... This is the last one I purchased in March of this year at a Leu auction, this was one of the most difficult to find.
I used an old image in my earlier post before I "completed my collection. Here is a more updated image: I also have duplicates and triplicates of many.
