    I’ll throw in an entry post for @-jeffB, whose postings on the General Discussion forum I enjoy. I can’t recall ever seeing him over here on the Contests forum, but here he is now. ;)

    I had a chance to meet him in NC earlier this year, and showed him my collection. Part of that show-and-tell session became this video about the Twelve Caesars. Despite some minor errors on my part (I was speaking without notes), I think the video turned out pretty well. Mostly thanks to my sister’s work.



    Jeff, I know you’re probably disoriented by suddenly being dropped into the middle of this contest. I just entered you in Round 8. The intro in Post #1 will explain what’s going on.

    #262 will be your lucky number in the drawing. (Since this is Post #262.)

    Well, thank you! I believe I'll add another entry for @MeowtheKitty - I'm allergic to most cats, but every once in a while one gets past my defenses.

    And as for a cheery contribution, we got a surprise visit from our daughter and her boyfriend this afternoon - we've traditionally had a family Christmas Eve dinner, but his family was having their big gathering tonight, so we thought we wouldn't see them. She brought some gifts and treats, including these:

    Big, soft sugar cookies. My own mother made these every year around Christmas, and they were always my favorite. Mom passed on almost ten years ago, but pieces of her live on in me and my children - and one of those pieces kept the recipe!
