I did have the farthings through Shillings in Dansco albums at one point but I could never find the Florin and Half Crown album. These showed up on Ebay so I grabbed them.
I have complete set from farthing to half crown in those 3 green albums, I've had them now for 50 years from 1970s and possibly will sell them as my daughters have zero interest, doesn't include 1943 Florin, but includes everything else, 1943 half crown, 1961 mule half crown etc....
I once completed the entire Irish predecimal run in the three Dansco albums, with the obvious exception of the 1943 florin. I did have the 1943 halfcrown. While I agree that a Dansco album would be better, for the ability to see both sides, that’s a neat old folder.
And a worthy resurrection of a thread gone mostly un-noticed. I like the view, though I'm Mr. Modern US. Irish is in my background, though it be Scotch/Irish.
For anybody who's interested in albums for coins of Ireland (or several other countries), Donahue Numismatics offers some nice customizable albums. I have not bought one of their albums yet, but I am thinking about getting one for my Swiss francs. Several different Irish denominations are available- see the link and scroll down the page: https://www.donahuenumismatics.com/Custom_Albums/album_template_list.html They are not cheap, but rare albums from Dansco and other brands are often pricey as well, and these are new. You can customize their layout and choose the color of the cover and so on.
