Wow, my credit union actually had customer-rolled halves!

No, wait... I just found one coin that had slid up underneath my keyboard. So I broke even on the count.

There are some varieties to look for.
A DDO on the 1976, and some other stuff, the 1972 I think.
The fact that the newer coins you got were after they stopped being
NIFC, and all the coins are clad is an indication of a CRH dump.
Because if some old lady had brought them in, and they were laying around in her cookie jar for 50 years, they wouldn't be rolled by year,
and there would be some goodies in there.

Yep, that matches the last few batches of halves I got from banks, which is why they were the last batches.

I know there are still jackpots to be hit, but I decided it wasn't worth the time. I may reconsider at some point, especially with silver at these levels.

Stay tuned for my next forum mega spectator event, called “watching paint dry”. LOL

That must be better than shooting and posting daily photos of your pocket piece!

I bought breakfast for three at Hardee’s this morning with 41 half dollars.

I expected the cashier to blink, but she took it all in stride.

Guess what the cashier and server at the Mexican restaurant tonight are gonna get… ;)

Watching paint dry is better than watching grass grow. :)

It's also better than mowing growing grass.

Some people do like yard work. I am not one of them. My father in law’s hobby is raking and gardening.

He needs to watch that commercial where Dr Rick is coaching/preventing younger people turning into their parents. "Yardwork is not a hobby". :p

He’s 88. I’m just glad he has something to keep him busy. Here he is, about to go outside and get the mustard greens out of his garden.

No, wait- the gloves. That was a raking day.

I wouldn't mind mowing if I had a big Zero-Turn riding unit. But then I'd need a trailer to take it to the shop for maintenance, a place to put it, and then there is still edging and weedeating. I'm done with doing that stuff. Life is way too short.:D

I used to mow 7 acres for my mother in law. It was great and I miss it. Yes it was a zero turn mower. Hardworking hard work but it is like a hobby, so enjoyable. It likes doing my coins-it gives me great enjoyment and peace of mind. If I’m out in the yard, I leave my cell phone in the house. If anyone wants me I have voice mail. Oh ya, I mow but my wife loves to do the trimming and weak whacking. We’re a good team in the yard. :)

He’s found something that he enjoys as I have. Glad to hear that. He looks in good shape for being 88. :)
