All Eisenhower dollars in the album! Yeah, it's not a long series, but still, feels like an accomplishment! Also filled the 3 unlabeled spots at the end with "extra credit" Eisenhower dollars: 1990-W Eisenhower centennial silver dollar 1991-1995-D (actually minted and issued in 1993) World War 2 silver dollar (quote by Eisenhower on the reverse) 2013-W 5 Star Generals silver dollar (with Eisenhower & Marshall) Pictures, as promised (apologies if they're not the best pictures; taking pictures of objects that are shiny metal is a serious pain to do lol):
Completing any set, even if it is short, is an accomplishment! I really like the clever idea of your extra 3 commems. That's a nice touch to round out the set.
always feels great to finish an album, and size means nothing.. heck my $.20 album only has space for 10 coins total and I doubt it will ever be finished Now your addition of the commems is a perfect finishing touch to a very very nice set Well Done!
Congratulations. Great eye appeal to the set. I have a few completed sets and it feels good to accomplish that.
I finished Indian cents and Peace dollars in albums, once. Maybe Franklins too- I forget. Can’t recall if I ever did Ikes. I think so. I did all the Lincoln cents except the 1909-S VDB and the 1922 Plain.
I'm just 3 short on finishing Lincoln cents: 1909-S VDB, 1914-D, 1922 plain. Someday, maybe lol. Have also finished Jefferson nickels, SBA dollars, and Kennedy half dollars. By type, I've finished presidential dollars, state quarters, DC & Territories quarters, National Park quarters, and American Women quarters. Working on Franklin half dollars and realistically I think that would be the cheapest and easiest to finish, among those I haven't finished yet. Also working on buffalo nickels, Mercury dimes, and Roosevelt dimes (Roosevelt dimes only need the silver ones; all the clad ones are complete). Those will take a while lol. Someday hope to finish my Dansco 7070 type set; only one I still need is a Seated Liberty dollar with motto.
I think this is all of my Completed Sets: Indian Head Cent - all but 2 Lincoln Cents - all but 4 Liberty Nickels Buffalo Nickels - 2 albums Jefferson Nickels Barber Dimes - 20th Century Dates Mercury Dimes Roosevelt Dimes - including all anniversary and other except the gold one Washington Quarters Barber Halves - 20th Century Dates Walking Liberty Halves Franklin Halves Kennedy Halves - including all anniversary and other except the gold one Morgan Dollars (all but 3) Peace Dollars Eisenhower Dollars SBA Dollars Modern Commemorative Silver and Clad Dollars (Proof and UNC) Modern Commemorative Silver and Clad Half Dollars (Proof and UNC) American Silver Eagle Type 1 - Bullion, all variations except that 1995 special issue
Oh, and also working on Canadian small cents lol. Almost none of the ones I have are bought; they were mostly found in US circulation. Going to be a lot harder to find them that way I suppose. Need to find another source of them I guess beyond directly buying specific issues.
With the price of silver and gold so high, Ike's and cents - U.S. and Canadian - are good alternatives. It's been said before, but nice problem free Ike's are a challenge with those big, open fields and all.
Nice looking set. For my Ike set, I included the '71 and '72 sub-types. I've digitally labeled the pictures of my Dansco pages... The proofs are in OGP (not pictured).
Fantastic job @Troodon, well done! I also love the way you filled out the blanks with excellent examples. Good luck with the next project. I would recommend getting a small label maker to make the notations in the album. I recently purchased one on Amazon for $45, just used it for the first time the other day and it works great! Got the idea from @dwhiz Amazon.com : Brother P-Touch PTD220 Home/Office Everyday Label Maker | Prints TZe Label Tapes up to ~1/2 inch White : Office Products You can see the one I did at the very bottom, for the 55 doubled die. It took an hour or so to read the directions and do a couple tests, but I really like the results.
