I'm still waiting for shipping notice on the last lot I won from Roma.

Same here. At this point it's been over 2 weeks since the auction ended and none of the collectors I've spoken with have received shipping notices.

I wrote Roma about that this morning they replied promptly:

    "Dear Roman Collector,

Thank you for your email. We are just packing up shipments as we speak, and your item will be going out in tomorrows post. You will then receive an email once we have dropped the packages off at the post office. We very much apologise for the delay in shipping and hope to have your coins to you very soon.

    Kind Regards,
    Leslee Garfield"

Thanks Romance Collector. I appreciate you contacting them and letting us know. My purchase was small but I am still looking forward to getting it.

Looks like I finally got a tracking number earlier today for the coin I won.

Me too. Finally. It won't stop me from bidding on their auctions in the future but they could have communicated better.

I got my eye on nine lots/ only have $ for one of them:inpain:! I usually watch the bidding until auction day, then pounce if coin is still in reach.

Wow is right. There are hundreds of coins I couldn't even dream of affording the opening bid on! Unfortunately, the number of coins I can afford that I would be interested in owning right now is pretty low. :/ But, yeah, there were many "wow!" moments. :)

An absolutely stunning lineup on that auction. Pretty much all of them are way out of my reach though so I won't torture myself by scrolling through them again and again :( well... maybe just a few more times ;)

Having said that did anyone else think that the opening bid on some of the lots was a bit... well... optimistic?

Sadly with todays coin market, they will all sell WAY over estimates. People are so scared of currency collapse that they want to put their money into bullet proof investments/ rare coins/ banknotes/art/ automobiles/ stamps.....

I noticed a few I would be interested in that seem to be low estimates for the type and grade, let alone at the opening bid, but I'm sure they will go WAY over that as P-Man just posted.
