    It's the same picture furham.
Just a little zoomed......I think this coin is accurately graded.

My guess would have been MS 61 or 62 with all of those contact marks.

Maybe someday I will learn to grade Peace Dollars a bit more accurately. ;)

i have a problem with the way coins are grade today with all the in between numbers to me this would not go in my collection and the grade would not matter as it is to beat up but thats the way i collect and i have been for along time over 50 years and never kept any of this quaility

I'm in the same boat here but for someone building a set a low grade example may be the only affordable option.

If thats a 62 (i thought the reverse would bring it down) then id hate to see a 60/61.
Peace dollar sure do have a wide range of coins w/in a given grade. Those hoard coins especially, seem like they are always 1 or 2 pts high.

I'm going to be the voice of dissent here. My first impression after viewing the obverse was MS63. The luster is absolutely amazing and indicative of the luster one would find on a gem grade Peace Dollar. It was only after seeing the reverse which has MS60-61 surfaces that I understood the assigned grade of MS62, which I think is the correct grade.

    I like it though.
A good collection is build of formidable preserved coins and of minerior conditions to show the difference of the whole mint state universe.

Well you posted the results fast. I was going to say 62 however PGCS gave it a boost to 63 due to the white color with that type of luster. You usually see that type of color and luster on the high end peace dollars. Nice 62 coin.

I'm jealous. Every Peace I own is such a poor strike.

Another one with good luster and less distracting contact marks IMG_20170222_120856.JPG IMG_20170222_121203.JPG
