I broke 72,000 this afternoon I believe. Here is a coin that I picked up earlier this year. It’s dated 1787 and quickly became one of my favorites. It even has a lamination error by the 7 and 8 in the date. It has 18 rings forming a chain, one for each colony. It is packed full of words and symbols that should make anyone that calls themselves an American to be proud.

Congrat's! Question. I found one while detecting. Here it is. Not pretty by any means. What time is it on the sundial?

Well, if there's no shadow falling on the dial's face, neither should anyone else.

Congratulations on reaching a significant "likes" milestone. Correction though, there are 13 links representing the original 13 colonies, not 18. Must be the pain meds.

Thanks, I’m not sure why I typed 18 but I’ll go with the pain meds myself. Lol To late to edit that mistake.

Certainly not for the next five states. It’s too old for that.

Nice Fugio! I do not have one. I have only owned one ever, and it was a beat-up example only slightly nicer than Sal's piece (but holed). I think I paid about 30 bucks for it, more than a decade ago. I want a nicer, problem-free example for my collection, but they're not cheap.

Sal, that certainly isn't pretty, but it counts as an AMAZING detector find! COINgratulations on that! Not many of us can say we have dug a Fugio! I guess that's the home field advantage y'all have up there in the Northeast.

Thanks! It was on private land that we secured for the day. The Coppers were plentiful as well as a 1795 Large Cent that I found. It was "toasty". Sold it for $58.
My goal is to find a Washington Inaugural button. Have you seen the value on these? :jawdrop: know a guy and this the honest truth, found 4 of them! 3 at one location. What luck! He is very good at it though also and gets some prime property.
We figure since the property was so remote that it was definitely virgin ground. ;)

Yes, I have. Held one in my hand, back in January. Remember? I tagged you in that post.

    Yes, now I remember. :)
That's a beautiful one. I wonder how much they cost back then? I think I remember something like $200. Maybe?
