I'll keep an eye out for a right facing lion.

  3. I have a few Miletos 1/12 staters, Chersonesos Hemidrachms, and Kyzikos Diobol/obols.

Awesome coins everyone. No Miletos for me but I'll share this Chersonesos hemidrachm.

I'm not too happy with how the colour turned out but I think the lion looks good.

Great coins. I need to learn more about them. They are silver, no?

    Cool photos, iamtiberius ...

Ummm, you have a lot of doubles (maybe Secret Santa, next year?)

I got the OP coin today. I didn't realize just how small 10mm would look. It's a beautiful coin in hand and Ancient Imports service was fantastic.

Great example of the OP type, I've always wanted on of these.

I'm sure glad I decided to branch out from Romans. All the learning is fun and the coins are beautiful to look at. Holding history is a special thing.

I remember my first non-Roman Imperial purchase. Exciting. Then my first Roman Republican. More excitement. The problem is that all the new opportunities opened my eyes to what I call the real art of the early coinage. That changed my Roman Imperial collecting habits. Now I almost never look at LRBs. LRBs are okay, but lack the creative, imaginative artwork imho. Currently I own just shy of 200 coins pre-Augustus

It looks like there are plenty of beautiful and artistic coins that fit into my limited budget. From now on I will put part of it to non Roman.

There are plenty for the savvy shopper out there. Patience is the key word. One can find bargains if one has the patience to sift through the dross.
