I just got in from bowling this morning. I shot a 686: 229, 229, and 228 (all I needed in the tenth was a turkey to have a triple score. I got two and then left a 10 pin.) Man I hate that pin!!!!!!

I have never had a triplicate, but NICE shooting, Bing!

I ended up shooting 700 on the nose, 290-187-223

I'm pretty sure then that you are not a bowler, eh?

When I do bowl (and that is not often) it is a good day if I break 100.:pompous:

I am usually there because other people I enjoy being with are, so yes I have fun.

I have coached kids for years and as a coach I live by a few rules, but rule #1 is - Bowling is fun.

    Don't ever forget rule #1

Golf on the other hand I had to give up, it just made me mad and stressed me out. I sold my clubs and never looked back.

Now I just go out for long walks or a light run, I enjoy that so much more!

Generally I do. However, I don't when I bowl against some bowlers that take it all too seriously. None of us are pros (there are a couple that used to be), and the prize money is not significant enough, so relax and enjoy. Oh, and I don't like it when I bowl against loud-mouthed drunks. I'm pushing the 70's pretty darn hard. I've never thrown a 300, but that's on my bucket list so I keep trying.

I'm a terrible bowler. It looks easy, but it isn't. What's the deal with some of the two handed pros lol? It is sort of strange to watch.

It's the new hip thing to do. A lot more rotation on the ball which gives good pin action. I think it's a young man's style though. I tried and don't have the strength or coordination.

Yah, I used to be an awesome bowler ... but sadly, as I've gotten older, I seem to have lost a lot of my natural youthful talent (growing-up, I won the sports day trophy two years in a row and/or I'd pick-up a stick and nonchalantly hit a pinecone 100 yards without even missing a step)

    ... but now that I'm in my 50's I seem to be tightening-up?! ...

I'm over-thinking everything and it's not helping my sports-performance (trying to break 80 in my golf game has become trying like hell to stay under 100!!)

... what's happening to me? (does anybody have an answer?)

I have too many to mention. If fact, if I mentioned even two or three of them there is enough out there on the internet to identify me, so I cannot do that. I do play one game, widely known but not widely played, for which I am one of the top players in my state and, in my younger day, one of the top in the country. If I told you what it would instantly identify me to a competent googler.
