Live auction. Bought this box of someone’s raw penny collection. I’ll report exactly what is in it in a few days.
My GC shopping ended early tonight. But, here is last Sunday's GC win. I'm working on a set of coins from 1942-45, business strikes, all denominations all mints. Walking Liberty halves are always a mixed bag on strike. 1942-S half-dollars have mostly been dog ugly.
Latest addition to my Seated Liberty Half Dollar collection. One of the tougher dates/mint marks. Haven’t had a chance to photograph it yet. Seller images:
7. Auction Winnings, Buy Now and Invoicing. Once you win an auction, the item will appear in your "Buyer Invoice" in MyGC. At this time, you can add other items (Buy Now - Fixed Price items) or wait for additional auctions to end, or you can check out and pay for your invoice immediately. A Discounted Buyer's Fee of 10% (minimum $5, based on a per-lot basis) will be added to the winning bid amount for all auction items if paid by check, eCheck or wire, or our standard Buyer's Fee of 12.5% (minimum $5, based on a per-lot basis) if paid by PayPal or Credit Card. This fee is paid by all bidders, regardless of affiliation or status as a dealer. Fixed price listings do not attract a Buyers' Fee. Shipping Fees will be added to your invoice according to our standard Shipping Fee schedule located at www.greatcollections.com/shippingfees. If you are paying for multiple invoices at once, GreatCollections will gladly combine shipping
ok. All coins definitely earned their living, so nothing close to uncirculated or rare. 10 rolls of early 60s Memorials. Each roll was the same inside and I saw no reason to go through each coin. 420 wheaties. Most common date was 1936 which there were 23. All the 50s except 55 S. All the 40s except 48 S, 42 S, and 40 D. I did check each coin for the common varieties. Surprising find was a decent 1909 (no mint or VDB) and a nice 1931 D. 10 steelies. 55 Indian Heads. With 2 Type 2s, a decent 1879, and 2 very nice 1902s. Was a fun project for a rainy weekend.
I posted this 1/2 cent about 5 years ago in this thread (#25575). That was before I cracked it out and put it in my type set album. I just realized it would benefit from new photos. While it certainly isn't my newest acquisition, it is a new look at an entry in this thread. Old photos New Photos Full resolution
