Just would like some expertise of this. Is this a clad in the bottom of the "B"? Thanks also if one could. Do let me know what the two points are West & East of the "B"? CM170219-05385202.jpg CM170219-05385503.jpg CM170219-05390504.jpg

A 1957 Cent does not have a clad layer.
    It's all copper.
What you have is a small Die Chip on the letter B. It was a common occurrence in wheat Cents from that time.
The 2 points are also tiny Die Chips.
If the Die was used a lot that area would of eventually broken on the Die, not the Planchet. Later strikes would of produced what is called BIE breaks.
That is a Die Break betweeb B and E in the word LIBERTY

Paddy, your informative posts are always helpful to the novices. I especially like the links that begin with, "I'd like to share this with you." However, I have one other helpful hint that I think you should add to your repertoire........

"Strike it Rich with Pocket Change" is a book for suckers.
