My old man just bought me this tonight. Thanks Dad! At least someone I know takes an interest in my hobby. It's my first Nerva coin and I don't see a lot of them around here. Post any Nerva coins you've got.

Do you like provincial Nerva? This coin took me years to attribute because the seller attributed it to Elaea in Aeolis due to the poppy heads on the reverse. But it's not from there!

What a Dad, I wish family and friends bought me coins, although sometimes they give me money as a present to buy a coin but to have someone just give you a coin that's the best. I only have two Nerva bought in the early days of collecting, when I was trying for emperor portraits and unfortunately they are both the handshake type although the Dupondius is 96 AD is a fair bit scarcer than the 97 AD As. 20160818_082927.jpg 000577_l.jpg

Great coins everyone. It is nice to have someone take an interest in your hobby. So far only my aunty and dad have shown any interest whatsoever. The old man still think it's ridiculous what I spend but he appreciates the history and likes talking about the coins. Most my friends just want to know the worth and don't give a damn about history. One friend pays 400 for a 30 year old comic and calls me an idiot for spending 100 on a 2000 year old coin.. I don't get people. It's why I like this place at least everyone here can appreciate the coins and history.

Okay, that made me do a double-take -- with my background, I'm more familiar with a different NERVA.

Great present, Ajax! I wish my family knew enough about coins to buy me some. A decent Nerva is on my wish list. Some of the coins posted here show very enviable examples of Nerva's prodigious honker.

That is one beautiful coin, that one would be a hard one to top for Nerva, congrats.
