That's a heck of a find! I might be mistaken...but I believe that it's a doubled die. Off topic but just out of curiosity...why do people photograph their coins holding them in their hands? I see many coins on eBay photographed like that, also. For me, it's far easier to set it on a table (on a neutral background) and photograph it there. I use two boxes of .357 Magnum shells upon which to rest my phone to help to steady it (no tripod for it). I guess any caliber would work.
No offense meant, Truth1253. Your photos are good and sharp. And I'm really envious on that find. Not that I pay that much attention, but I've seen people include grubby fingernails in photos of their coins on eBay. Definite turnoff.
I'm sort of a gun guy, Truth. But my knowledge of guns is comparable to my coin knowledge. In other words, not much. And mostly handguns, not long guns. What is that?
No offense taken Mark I don't get offended easy. You actually have me reading a article on "doubled dye" as we speak. That's one, of many I'm sure, areas that I should learn more about. If it is a doubled die that would be wild. Any advice i appreciate and keep it coming straight up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Me too. Lol That's a AR12 with a 10 round mag. A hell off a lot of fun under $400 I can tell you that! https://www.classicfirearms.com/ar12-semi-auto-ar-15-platform-12ga-shotgun Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
HAHA, I use two .45 boxes to angle the felt board I use to take photos. To the OP, good for you, one of those coins you keep because you have nothing in it or sell to buy something you want more.
