Today she received a $20.00 bill in change. It’s worn, stained and a few other things but that’s not the problem. Nor did it draw my attention. The serial number and her comment is what got me. She was looking at her coins and the notes she had. She commented that the first four numbers were the same four numbers as the last four in the serial number. She was correct. But then she said she wished they were in the same order. She also told me that it would be a four digit repeater note. I was in shock. Then she told me that if the last four numbers were in reverse order from the first four numbers it would be a radar note. All this has rattled me to no end. I’m surprised but pleased that she pays attention to me when I talk to her about things of this nature. Her lady comments were this is the closest she’s ever come to finding a good note and that as neat as this note is, it’s just a spender.
Very observant of her. But what if the last four were an exact duplicate of the first four, what are the odds of that? Astronomical! Would that make the note worth big money in some circles?
You should have her get you a T-shirt that says, "I'm Proud of My Wife because She Lets Me Buy Coins".
You mean like 71527152? That is known as a four digit repeater. She had the same numbers but in the wrong order. I’m not sure of the odds but things like this do occur with high odds. That’s what makes the price go up. But one must also take into consideration the condition if the note.
I wouldn’t wear it because I don’t want to advertise my hobby. It’s a good way to get robbed or worse.
This is strange as the bill serial number contains the numbers 527 This number is very special to me, its in my date of birth, it was my service number, and its in my email address. A friend of mine who is a bank teller in Missouri sent me this bill around 20 years ago.
I didn’t think you had a problem. We don’t either but in my area we easily could do we’re always careful.
Tell me about it again. We are. Cars come and go all hours of the day and night. The guy (kid I call him, in 20's), revs his piece o crap Honda for hours. Next time should I call about the noise and weird hour traffic. I live in a nice quiet neighborhood or use to anyways.
Not sure where you live or if they would know that you’re the one that called. That could make things worse for you. No one really around me and there’s only one house that we can see from where we live. There used to be people in that house that would rev the car engine all the time as well 10 o’clock is the set time for noise level in my area, my people moved out as it was just a rental. So not sure what is best for you. Best wishes with it.
