What's up with this cent?

I was looking at some coins before taking my change to the bank and I noticed this one looked odd. Not being an expert or even novice in errors or varieties I can't begin to say what this is, and if you say it's post-mint damage that's fine. I'm just not sure how it would happen if it is. The planchet seems a little larger than a normal cent. One thing that makes me pause is I noticed the T in "Cent" seems further from the edge than normal, but in this part of the coin I don't notice the extra metal otherwise. Anyway, tell me what you think. 1965 cent.jpg

Yes, that’s a nice find. My birthyear, too.

Super valuable? Nope, but a cool find nonetheless.

an interesting coin and something worth keeping. It's no wonder that it drew your attention.

People who collect errors would certainly like to have one. It's not hugely valuable, but it's worth something.
