    This is a. Gold coin from Alaska dated 1909. It’s from the gold rush of the time.

    Yep I have one as well, but mines is on a stick pin! :D Just as an fyi, I had mine tested at my LCS by XRF and it tested 14k gold, kinda nice as other gold tokens I've had tested scored a lot lower, around 11k! :smuggrin:

    In 1909 gold was $20.67 per troy oz., making the 1 dwt cost $1.03 USD back then. Today, at (currently) $4,011.30 per troy oz it draws $200.57 (rounding up)!
    That 1/4 dwt on the stick pin drew $.26 USD and today is worth roughly $50.

    I really like the history of the gold rush coins, and that sourdough on this 1 dwt looks like he is starting to dance a jig….:)
