Its an S Mint Mark for San Francisco. It is a large date that dosent carry a premium. Note: there is a small date that is collected, and not easy to find.
The letter S took a hit in the top curve. When the copper was pushed down it made it appear like a numeral 5. But it is not a 5, just damage. But it is worth 1 Cent
