Hi all! It's a pleasure for me to be stepping back in and hosting this year's Secret Santa swap! As some might know, I had a little health scare end of last year which required a night stay in the hospital and a ton of follow up testing and appointments. Luckily, the universe aligned and @Kasia had expressed interest in hosting the festivities and I'm incredibly grateful! So, on to this year's information. This year's exchange is limited to U.S participants again. In the past we've attempted a world swap, but I believe it's only ever come to fruition once. If you are interested in participating, please PM me your address. I will confirm you are in for Secret Santa this year. Also, if you are interested in grinch patrol, let me know. Very rarely have we needed it, but a couple times someone didn't receive a gift. Participants must sign up no later than November 30, 2024. I can't accept sign ups after that date, it becomes a logistical nightmare! Participants must have a minimum of 200 coin related posts here on CoinTalk. This ensures we get participants that have been around a while and are likely to be good Santas. I will PM everyone's recipients by Dec. 5. Please mail your gift in a timely manner so it arrives by Christmas! We all know, USPS gets a bit overwhelmed the closer the holiday gets! In the past, we've set a gift value of $25, though many send more. What you send to your recipient can be totally random or you might search their posts to get an idea their interests. You can send something you already have, shop a local store/show or find something online and have it shipped to your recipient. There are tons of options! Once you receive your gift, try not to open until Christmas. Whether you're successful in fighting off the temptation or not, do post a few pictures of your gift and thank your Santa. Everyone loves to see what others have received! You can also post in this thread when it arrives so your Santa knows the gift has made it safely to you! Multi-task? I can't even task. Sounds like a fun year! I'm in. Now. What can I give this year? Every year, I've been surprised by someone I don't know much about as far as collecting habits and being a Secret Santa participant has been stressful. I hope to get someone I know this year.
