Not a D/S, but, possible RPM, based on the last picture.

I am having a hard time reading the pics. It looks like an Rpm. Clearer pics would help.

Aye, I reckon I will need to get a scope for RPMs. Holding a loupe while taking a photo is darn near impossible.
The only reason I didn't conclude it was RPM#7 and move on with my life is RPM #7 goes NE with a clearly detached D; whereas, the example I'm looking at goes straight east (maybe a hair south even). In hand the D/D-east doubling looks identical to examples of S/D without the clear loop to the NW. The location is spot on as well.
Is it possible when the D/D was punched over the S the remaining parts of the S were filled by the metal moved by the punch? They polish the area over and it looks genuinely ok. Later, while in operation, the metal that has filled the NW loop detaches? Is that in any way possible or is that some woo woo?

Coneca has no D/S for this year and mint-mark .

I also think I see the marker for RPM #7

On Variety Vista it is an omm-001. Also Fs-601 And is darn close to what Pat has. There is also an S/D for the year.

It isn't #1 look at the placement of the " D " between the top of the " D " and the branch . Spacing is way different .

    Now here's number 7

That image is the only reason I showed this fuzzy close-up of my coin. I thought the doubling on the straight left inside looks uncannily similar:

One of the weirder thing about my coin's mintmark is it has a almost a raised oval peak. It's almost as if it someone quickly etched the die to bring out the MM. I've been completely unsuccessful at showing this effect in photo form so far, but I'll go try some more.

Ok, a few photos that came out halfway decent. My attempts at the right wing edge and lower bust, where die cracks are common, were completely unsuccessful this go around.

The only thing that seems to be missing in the D?S theory is the flashing S. The pics seem imposed to me. and a daunting task on Pats part, with his tools. Only Pat can say with his in hand views. Whether or not the S is there. The later die states have not been photo'd yet. I call it inconclusive.
