    I have a penny the size of nickle as well. Only the years 1982 and a bit oval .I would like to find out the value.

    I work on commercial buildings in the bay area and have found six Penny's big as a nickel , on different roofs,I think they heat up from the sun,???

    Hello Jeffrey. Interesting theory but Pennies cannot be affected by the normal heat felt by the sun. It takes a much higher temp to flatten a Penny.

    I have a 1982 D Penny that resembles yours, with the nickel size diameter. No pounding, but a small circular hole on the reverse. Weighs 2.6 grams
