Someone bid on it. What a shame. Makes you wish you could warn the buyer. https://www.ebay.com/itm/167847071334
It boggles the mind that someone with obviously no knowledge of coins would blindly throw $100 like that.
Someone paid them to slab. It's not PCGS which was stupid. I saw someone beat me to this comment. I'm surprised we have not seen some of the "parking lot" error coins in slabs. I know it much have been done.
Agree that it should have been body bagged, to discourage exactly this type of thing. I reported it, but the bots don't care. Their reply: We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made by a customer service agent. I reported it again. They have lost my business forever, and I used to buy a lot from EBay.
I understand the process. I guess I'm use to my primary TPG which is NGC just body bagging my coins that weren't worth slabbing
I have a collection of nearly 2,000 coins / tokens and only have 1 in a slab...bought it that way. It's an old Irish siege token from Cork so thought I'd leave it that way though some of the information on the slab is wrong. Go figure!! Bruce
