Unfortunately, this specimen spent time in a parking lot. But an older specimen from Canada nonetheless.

Not actually found in change (FIC), but found on the ground (FOG) in the parking lot when I replaced my shopping cart on Tues. At first I thought it showed die chips on the obverse, until I looked more closely. The 2 "dimples" at Washington's neck and bust line-up with the 2 Dot Peen Marks on either side of the eagle's neck on the reverse. Just PMD, but I'm ultra happy it's sliver.

I am sure you will. The thing is that a pocket change find may have numismatic interest or personal interest. I recall the first time a received a button battery. Obviously no value…but quite unexpected. Even a ‘shiny penny’ catches my eye so you never know.

a couple of weeks ago I was in Arizona. I was smiling by all the Denver minted coinage. Nothing rare in the bunch but there were some shiny/higher grade coins with D’s to add to my Denver rolls. I started roll sets for nickels and cents years ago when I did CRH.

Well I will keep trying. I found this 1989 today. Is this just damage or something else? IMG_20250912_151511_952.jpg IMG_20250912_151425_779.jpg IMG_20250912_151511_952.jpg IMG_20250912_151425_779.jpg

Ok…I continue to have success at the local DD…for whatever reason. I think they are on to my collecting ways!!

Cash register find: 2018 Panama 1 centesimo de Balboa; a reverse design I didn't have before that had the words "un centesimo de Balboa" instead of the national seal.

And not sure if this counts for anything but getting change from the bank to do laundry got 2 solid rolls of 2025-D Stacy Milbern quarters. Will save one at least, until such time as a I have a reason to spend them. ($9 worth got spent doing laundry lol.)

2 wheat pennies from the cash register today:
1957-D & um... not entirely sure, date is pretty badly worn. Thought I saw a D mintmark but it almost seems like it's not in the right place. Might be 1910 or 1916 but wear and damage make it hard to tell for sure.

OK been staring at this thing too long... I don't think it has a mintmark at all, just a coincidentally "D" shaped scratch but it's too close to Lincoln's shirt to be a mintmark.

Date might be 1910 or 1918... I'm kind of convinced it's more likely 1918.

Fun finding a well worn specimen still in service!! Likely 100+ years of service if your crossed eyes aren’t deceiving you!
