    Guys,
I went this morning on the way to work to wash the road grim off my car and one of the Quarters I got from the coin machine was a Delaware Quarter. I brought it to work and placed it under magnification and there is a straight line from the horses mouth through the A in Caesar and stops right below Caesar. Under magnification it looks like a dimpled line instead of a crack. Trying to get a picture of it now if I can.

I been wondering about these state quarters. I have quite a few error state quarters. Some are new find and some are now finds. The only thing is people are not buying them. I think the best way to sell them is in a bulk lot. IMG_0129.JPG IMG_0129.JPG IMG_0183.JPG

This is the best I could get from the microscope we use.

I want to find these cool error so I can add them to my collection. Maybe in 30 or 40 years when I am retired and I need some extra cash these cool items will bring the money. The silver and bullion helps also.

That's the same one I have pictured. It's called the spitting horse.

The only people who consider these errors significant are the people who try to sell them and the fools who buy them.

I have about 10 error quarters. I also have error dimes, nickels and pennies. I don't collect them so I'm going to sell them off. I have one up on eBay a nice uncirculated 1958 wheat penny sellin right now $3.00. Not bad for someone giving it to me.

I been researching error coins for some time now. There are a lot of error coin collectors out there. If they want to by a coin with a die crack, cud, dd, off rotation or whatever I'll sell it to them.
I have a seated liberty dime that is about 30 degrees off rotation in vg condition. Keeping this one.

I also have a couple of rare $1 star notes in sequence nice crisp notes. People are buying these too. I'm not a collector of star notes unless they are old. So I sell them for a few bucks. It's like a hobbiy for me. I like it.

These are collectible to some, They are a good reference to a latter die state, you might get a few bucks out of them.
    Cool die crack!

The OP's quarter is known as the spitting horse error. It has the distinction of being the first publicized error of the state quarter series. It was a bit popular back in 99

Error's like yours are a dime a dozen but fun to find and collect. You won't retire on them but they do make a nice collection of what can happen in the minting process.
