This relatively modern Peruvian coin just became the most valuable in my collection

It happens to be from my birthyear. Only because it has 1.3 ounces of bullion, the recent spike in spot gold to over $4,000/oz just made this my most valuable coin, even though I have dozens that are more historical.

(I paid $3,700 for this last year. Its melt value is $5,468.88 as I type this. What a ride, huh?)

I do like the design. Seated Liberty, a century after that was a thing in the USA.

Note too that it has a cornucopia of coins. A coin-u-copia, if you will.

The design is from Peru's silver Un Sol (37mm) that goes back to 1863 or 64. I love those coins. They're die crack magnets.
